For most of his adult life, Carr Hagerman has lived in two worlds. His first profession was street performer which he began in 1974, touring with Renaissance festivals as a walkabout street comedian.
His second life was that of entrepreneur and business person. As a performer, he became a student of engagement and collaboration, and discovered early in his career that what he learned as a street performer could be applied in business and service. To that end, Carr developed the FISH! Philosophy speaking platform and rolled it out into large corporations like Paramount Pictures, John Deere, Apple and GE.
For the past 15 years, Carr Hagerman has traveled the globe, giving keynote presentations and leading workshops for groups as small as 50 and as large as 5,000. Carr authored the bestselling book Top Peformer: A Bold Approach to Sales and Service, the story of a burned out sales rep who discovers new energy and a fresh approach to his work from the street performers of London and Ireland.
Each year he trains and develops over 400 entertainers, musicians and costumed performers for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. He runs the Top Performer Academy which helps individuals take their skills to the next level. His performance approach, dynamic stage presence and engaging material puts him in a class with few rivals. Provocative, funny, intriguing and memorable, no two presentations are ever the same. But the natural energy in every presentation is captivating and compelling.
