A Summer Break & Breather

Summer is here and like many, I'm looking forward to a slower pace and chance to catch my breath. We're all eager for a return to normal, especially following a year that was anything but. Summer is a time for swimming and bike rides, catching up with friends over dinner on the deck and laughing around the fire. It's a time of rest and renewal. It's also a time to reflect on the past and plan for the future.

While others may be taking advantage of this season to return to the normal activities and interactions they loved, summer is fleeting. Fall is right around the corner and after this season of pause, people will be eager for connection and development. This is the time to plan for the future... whether planning a few months ahead or looking forward to 2022.

This Summer, Plan & Prepare

Like you, I'm excited to make the most of the next few months, but I'm also planning for what comes next. Consider the following as you make the most of this post-pandemic summer, while planning and preparing for fall.

  1. Consider what your team or employees most need as work and life 'return to normal.' Today, workplace culture is about meeting people where they are. Whether they loved working remotely or can't wait to return to the office, there is a need for connection and professional development. After more than a year of distancing, everyone is eager to get out and network. Now is the time to find the right speaker to rally the troops and build enthusiasm for what comes next, while also serving your team within the workplace - whether in person or virtual.
  2. Ask for help because you have enough on your plate. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that we all need to slow down a bit and enjoy, instead of trying to do and be it all. Events might feel a bit foreign and the logistics have changed as more happens online and virtually. We're here to help. This is what we do and we want to make your job easier.
  3. Have fun. This is a season of rest and relaxation. The hustle and bustle of life will return. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun now, whether resting or planning. Integrating fun into the process is what it's all about.
Like many, I'm enjoying this season of change. The opportunity to get outdoors, to connect and reconnect with those I haven't seen in a while, and of course, bike rides with the family. But I also love events and I know our speakers have great insights to share. Nothing like a fresh perspective to get you and your team fired up for the work ahead.
