Roxane Battle is a mental health and health equity advocate, having served as the Vice President of Advocacy and Community at AbleTo, Inc., a behavioral health company owned by Optum and UnitedHealth Group. She held the same position at Sanvello Health, where her video series “Checking in with Roxane Battle” reached 4 million subscribers.

She currently serves on the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management Global Women’s Network Senior Advisory Board.

Roxane also spent 20+ years in television news, as an award-winning news anchor and Emmy-nominated reporter at NBC Minneapolis, CBS, and FOX.

Roxane was named an "Architect of Change" on and has been featured in Ebony and on the cover of Working Mother magazine.

A Minnesota native, Roxane earned her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and her master’s degree in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and is currently pursuing a certificate in psychology through Harvard’s Extension School of Continuing Education.

An Amazon best-selling author, Roxane’s self-help memoir, Pockets of Joy: Deciding to Be Happy, Choosing to Be Free (Whitaker House 2017), is now in its third printing.
