Kim Insley is a communications professional with a lengthy history in TV journalism.
Long affiliated with the NBC station affiliate in the Twin Cities, Kim’s career began in Santa Barbara, California. In more than 30 years behind the mic, Kim interviewed presidential candidates, countless newsmakers, celebrities, and ordinary people who did extraordinary things.
Kim earned journalism awards, including two Upper Midwest Emmy Awards for reporting and her anchor work.
In 2017, Kim left television, pivoting into public relations, with Meet Minneapolis, the city’s convention and tourism bureau (and also home of Sports Minneapolis, which was instrumental in bringing the Super Bowl and NCAA Men’s Final Four to the metro.)
Now with Digital River, an ecommerce enabler for brands looking to grow globally, Kim is using her storytelling and communications skills in the world of business and ecommerce. The theme throughout is flexibility – which Kim views as one of the top skills any individual or company needs to respond to our ever-changing world.
How will you grow your career? Your business? Your own sense of accomplishment in your personal life and in the community? That’s a story we are all working on, and one Kim is always willing to explore.
