During his 27 years in broadcast journalism, Mike Max has met hundreds of people who have overcome incredible odds to achieve great success from small-town teenagers to international celebrities. A captivating storyteller, Mike inspires people to action by linking these stories to his 5 reasons people succeed, drawn from his conversations with resilient and inspiring people from all walks of life. Since 1990, Mike has been sharing his inspirational stories of success with groups ranging from high school students to farmers to corporate executives at Fortune 500 companies.

Known for his quick wit and engaging personality, Mike Max is an entrepreneur, journalist, and popular broadcast personality in both television and radio. His company, Mike Max Productions, produces television commercials as well as Life to the Max, a weekly television program highlighting stories of perseverance, tenacity and winning attitudes. He is also an anchor and reporter for the CBS affiliate, and hosts a nightly radio show, Sports to the Max, on the CBS Radio affiliate. Raised in the small southern community of Gaylord, MN, Mike grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball. He continued to play sports at the college level while majoring in journalism at Hamline University.

Still an avid outdoorsman, Mike enjoys hunting cycling, enjoying all four of Minnesota's seasons, and spending time with his family.
